Kelowna International Airport event disrupted by black bear

A black bear caused a disruption during the third annual Wings and Wheels event at Kelowna International Airport on Saturday. The animal was spotted in a tree near the entrance during the early morning setup hours.

Conservation officers arrived to manage the situation and tranquilized the bear. During the encounter, the bear fell approximately 12 to 15 feet from the tree onto the pavement, appearing dazed and struggling to move. Firefighters and conservation officers worked together to clear the area for safety.

Despite the wildlife encounter, the event, which features classic cars and aircraft, continued with thousands of attendees.
