Kelowna community holds memorial for Tristan Seeger

Friends and family gathered at Ben Lee Park in Kelowna on October 23, 2026, to host an annual celebration in memory of Tristan Seeger on the third anniversary of his death. The event, organized by Matt Perron, featured a DJ, food trucks, a car show, and various vendors to honor the teen's life.

Tristan Seeger died in a hospital on October 22, 2023, after being struck by a vehicle near Ben Lee Park. Brandon Kazakoff recently pleaded guilty to assault and dangerous driving causing death in connection with the incident and is currently awaiting sentencing.

In a separate act of remembrance, Seeger’s mother, Paule Seeger, participated in a plasma donation drive with Canadian Blood Services. She noted that donated plasma had provided her family with additional time with her son during his final days and urged others to donate to support those in need.
