Kelowna RCMP arrests man, seizes shotgun and drugs in senior housing raid

On July 18 2026 the Kelowna RCMP’s Target Team, assisted by the Southeast District Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a senior‑housing residence on the 800‑block of Jones Street in Kelowna, British Columbia. Officers arrested an individual who was subject to an outstanding provincial‑wide warrant. During the operation police seized a 12‑gauge pump‑action shotgun and quantities of controlled substances.

Sergeant Guillaume Tanguay of the RCMP Proactive Enforcement Unit said the raid supports both criminal and bylaw investigations and helps keep the community safer. The City of Kelowna Property Standards Compliance Team has also cited several bylaw violations and deficiencies at the property. The RCMP investigation remains ongoing.
