Kelowna real estate steadies while Skyscanner flags city as affordable summer destination

Real estate prices per square foot in Kelowna remained largely flat over the past year, according to Century 21 Canada's ninth annual Price Per Square Foot Survey for 2026. Single‑family homes rose modestly from $408 to $410 per square foot, while townhouses fell more than 6% to $395. The market is described as “steady” compared with sharper declines in other British Columbia cities, and the report notes continued migration from larger urban cores to communities offering more value.

Separately, Skyscanner’s 2026 Smarter Summer Report identified Kelowna as a “clever alternative” for travelers, with an average flight price of $494 for the week of Aug. 31‑Sept. 6. The travel‑search engine highlighted the city’s low‑cost airfare as a reason to consider it for a late‑summer vacation, alongside other affordable destinations such as Prince George and Calgary.
