Kelowna Rockets NHL Draft NHL Central Scouting Harrison Boettiger WHL

Three players from the Kelowna Rockets have been included in the NHL Central Scouting players to watch list for the 2027 NHL Draft. The list, released on October 26, 2026, identifies top North American and European prospects eligible for the draft scheduled for June 25, 2027.

All three players received a “W” rating, indicating they are expected to be candidates for the sixth or seventh rounds of the draft. The shortlisted players include 18-year-old goaltender Harrison Boettiger, 17-year-old centre Colton Lien, and centre William Matte.

Boettiger, currently the first-choice goalie for the Rockets, holds an 87.9 per cent save percentage in the WHL and is committed to the University of Denver. Lien, a Colorado-born player, is committed to Arizona State University for 2028. Matte is currently in his second year with the team.
