Kelowna YMCA fundraiser raises over $40,000
The second annual YMCA Make a Splash fundraiser raised $40,517.94 during an event held on October 3 at the H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre. The funds will support the YMCA Okanagan Swims program, providing free lifesaving swimming lessons to Grade 3 students in School District 23.
The program serves more than 1,600 local children annually. During the duck race, participants adopted 320 regular rubber ducks and 28 mega ducks.
