Kelsea Ballerini funds music program at Dolly Parton Children's Hospital

Singer Kelsea Ballerini has funded a new music program at Dolly Parton's Children's Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. The initiative, launched on Tuesday, Oct. 20, aims to bring live music directly to the bedsides of pediatric patients.

The program is a collaboration with Musicians On Call, a nonprofit organization that provides live musical performances in healthcare facilities. This marks the nonprofit's first program in the Knoxville area. The funding for the initiative was provided through Ballerini's 'Feel Your Way Through Charitable Fund'.

Ballerini, who has volunteered with Musicians On Call for 11 years, performed songs including 'I Would, Would You', 'Dibs', and 'Lean On Me' for patients and hospital staff during the launch event. Unlike a single visit, the program is designed to be an ongoing service at the hospital.
