Kelsey Mitchell urged to leave Indiana Fever amid organizational criticism

An opinion piece argues that WNBA star Kelsey Mitchell should consider leaving the Indiana Fever, suggesting the organization does not adequately value her talent.

Despite Mitchell's high efficiency and ranking as the second-highest in points per game and three-point field goals during the regular season, the piece claims public and organizational narratives have disproportionately focused on teammate Caitlin Clark. The author contends that the Fever's marketing and media discourse manufactured a co-MVP conversation to elevate Clark, potentially distorting Mitchell's statistical achievements.

The commentary further suggests that Mitchell and center Aliyah Boston have had to carry significant offensive and defensive loads to compensate for Clark's inconsistencies in ball security and perimeter defense.
