Kelvin Osei Asibey expresses readiness for Ghana national team

Accra Hearts of Oak center-back Kelvin Osei Asibey has declared his readiness to represent the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, ahead of the upcoming 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Somalia.

The 25-year-old defender has demonstrated strong form in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League, anchoring a defense that has conceded only two goals in eight matches. This performance has helped Hearts of Oak reach the top of the league table. Asibey recently achieved the rare feat of winning three consecutive NASCO Man of the Match awards following games against Vision FC, Port City FC, and Basake Holy Stars.

Hearts of Oak manager Nebojsa Kapor has supported the defender, stating that Asibey possesses the tactical discipline and mental fortitude necessary for international competition.
