Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu addresses political mistakes and Ekrem İmamoğlu candidacy

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP), addressed various political matters following a visit to the Eurasia Strategic Research Platform (ASAD) headquarters. During a press briefing, Kılıçdaroğlu reflected on his political career, acknowledging that he has made mistakes and deficiencies in the past. He noted that he has previously apologized for such errors, stating that a politician who believes every decision they make is correct risks falling into significant error.

Kılıçdaroğlu also discussed the internal dynamics of the CHP, highlighting the party’s ‘culture of objection’ as a vital element that keeps the organization active. He emphasized that members feel free to voice differing opinions and challenge decisions, including those made by the chairman, which allows for collective decision-making after listening to various perspectives.

When specifically asked if he had any major regrets regarding his past decisions, Kılıçdaroğlu replied that he does not have any significant decisions he wishes he had not made. Furthermore, when questioned about whether he ever regretted supporting Ekrem İmamoğlu’s candidacy, he provided a definitive “No.”
