Kempton Park police investigate deaths of four women

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched a multidisciplinary investigation following the discovery of four women's bodies in the Kempton Park area over a two-month period. Authorities are investigating potential links between the deaths, noting concerning similarities in the circumstances of each case.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe stated that the bodies were found half-naked with visible bruising in the same vicinity. The most recent victim was found in sports gear, raising concerns that the individual may be the missing 38-year-old Elizabeth Moselakgomo, who disappeared while jogging in Rhodesfield. While police have not officially confirmed a serial killer is involved, the similarities have prompted a public warning for women in the area to exercise extreme caution.

Acting National Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane has ordered the establishment of a dedicated task team, including detectives from the Murder and Robbery Unit and the Investigative Psychology Unit, to determine if the incidents are connected and to identify potential suspects.
