Ken Martin defends Democratic unity against GOP 'socialist' labels

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin stated that the Republican Party is using fear as a tactic by labeling Democrats as socialists. Speaking on CNN, Martin argued that while there are various labels and internal divisions, the party remains a ‘big tent’ that is unified by core objectives.

Martin identified several unifying principles among Democrats, including removing money from politics, increasing the minimum wage, pursuing universal healthcare, and focusing on affordability. He emphasized that despite the presence of moderates, conservatives, progressives, and leftists, the party is now focused on the upcoming November elections following the conclusion of the primary season.
