Ken Matsudaira to star in new YouTube animation project

Kayac Akiba Studio has announced the launch of a new YouTube animation project titled ‘Matsuken Anime ~Kore Seibai Shitemo Ii Desu ka?~’, scheduled to begin streaming on August 29, 2026. The project is a character IP initiative inspired by the ‘Matsuken Samba’ motif.

Actor Ken Matsudaira will voice the protagonist, Matsuken, a character who appears to resolve the daily frustrations and ‘moya-moya’ of modern society. He is joined by voice actress Sumire Uesaka as his partner, Matsu-inu, and Daisuke Namikawa, who will provide voices for various supporting characters. The project aims to expand beyond YouTube through merchandising, events, and various promotional collaborations.
