Ken Salazar releases memoir on U.S.-Mexico diplomacy

Ken Salazar, former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico and former U.S. Secretary of the Interior, has released his memoir titled ‘Borderlands: My Fight for an Inclusive America’. The book, which includes a Spanish edition for Latin American readers, covers 45 chapters detailing his personal and professional experiences in public service.

Salazar’s work addresses critical bilateral issues between the United States and Mexico, including migration, security, economic cooperation, and diplomacy. He emphasizes the historical, economic, and human ties between the two nations and discusses the significant role of the Latino community in the United States.

In addition to the book release, Salazar is scheduled to participate in events in Aspen, Colorado. These include a discussion on his memoir, a panel titled ‘On Diplomacy: Lessons Learned by Latino World Leaders’ alongside former U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Nathalie Rayes, and the receipt of the 2026 Raizado Festival Legacy Icon Award for his contributions to conservation, civil rights, and Latino community opportunities.
