Ken Salazar to visit Mexico City to discuss roots and North American identity

Former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ken Salazar has announced he will return to Mexico City on October 14 to discuss his family history and his identity as a Mexican American. Salazar stated that his family has resided in the region for over four centuries, spanning the eras of Spanish, Mexican, and United States rule.

During his visit, which is linked to the @MAPorraulibros initiative, Salazar intends to speak about the importance of a North American vision for leadership. He highlighted the collective strength of the continent, noting the presence of 50 million Mexican Americans, 130 million Mexicans, and 50 million Canadians. He emphasized that this interconnectedness could serve as a global model for economic prosperity and democracy.
