Ken Urker found dead in Louisiana home on his 34th birthday
Ken Urker, the partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and father of their daughter, Aurora, was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on October 1, his 34th birthday. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check after family members expressed concern when Urker failed to answer messages or appear for work.
Authorities reported finding Urker unresponsive in his bed. While investigators stated there were no immediate signs of foul play, they noted the presence of drug paraphernalia, including syringes and a brown powdery substance, in the residence. A handgun was also found on a nearby nightstand. An autopsy and toxicology report are pending to determine the official cause of death.
Blanchard expressed profound grief, stating she was in “disbelief” and noting that Urker had been in a “dark place” recently. She suggested his death might have been an overdose, though she was unsure if it was intentional. Blanchard also highlighted the impact of relentless online cyberbullying on Urker’s mental health. Some family members have reportedly challenged Blanchard’s public accounts regarding the couple's relationship status and the circumstances of the death.
