Kenan Hasagić criticizes Bosnia and Herzegovina coaching staff
A dispute has emerged within the coaching staff of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team following the departure of goalkeeper coach Kenan Hasagić. Hasagić, a former national team goalkeeper, expressed his dissatisfaction on social media, posting a photo of the former staff with the caption, “Shame on you! With friends like these, you don’t need enemies.”
His reaction follows comments made by national team manager Sergej Barbarez regarding the decision to refresh the technical staff. Barbarez stated that the change was intended to bring “new energy, new knowledge, and new ideas” to the position, noting that there were no specific problems with the previous arrangement but rather a desire for a different perspective.
Barbarez also reflected on his own appointment as manager, noting the difficulty of taking over the team during a period of frequent coaching changes and his lack of prior professional coaching experience. He emphasized that his current staff works cohesively and that the decision to move on from Hasagić was part of a broader strategic effort to evolve the team.
