Kenan Urker death sparks cyberbullying advocacy initiative
Kenan Urker, the former partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, was found unresponsive at his Louisiana home on October 1, his 34th birthday. Authorities from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a wellness check requested by Urker’s sister-in-law, who noted he had been in “a dark place.”
Urker’s sister, Autumn, alleged that he felt compelled to sleep with a firearm due to intense online bullying, doxxing, and death threats related to his relationship with Blanchard. While a cause of death has not been officially determined, Blanchard has suggested she believes an overdose may be involved.
In response to the incident, Blanchard has launched an initiative called “Kenan’s Law.” The campaign aims to combat online harassment and advocate for changes in how social media platforms manage repeated reports of cyberbullying.
