Kendal Grey Retains NXT Women’s Title as Lola Vice Says Farewell
Kendal Grey successfully defended the NXT Women’s Championship in an Underground match on the August 4, 2026 episode of WWE NXT in Orlando, Florida. The bout, which has no ropes and ends only by knockout or submission, saw Grey suffer a bleeding ear injury after crashing into the steel steps, but she continued and forced Lola Vice to submit. Vice, who entered the match unbeaten in Underground contests, lost her final NXT match. After the broadcast ended she removed her gloves, thanked the crowd and was embraced by her real‑life boyfriend Damian Priest. WWE filed a trademark for “Vice City” on the same day, confirming Vice’s upcoming call‑up to the main roster, likely SmackDown. AJ Styles disclosed that he and Johnny Moss acted as producers for the match. The event also featured other title changes on the card, but the focus remained on Grey’s retention and Vice’s emotional farewell.
