WWE stars Alexa Bliss and Kendal Grey sidelined by injuries

Several WWE performers have faced recent injuries and title changes. Alexa Bliss reported suffering an eye injury at home after slipping in her bathroom and hitting her eye on a shower handle. The injury resulted in heavy bruising, though it is currently unclear if she will be removed from her scheduled six-woman tag team match at WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6.

In the NXT division, Kendal Grey has been ruled medically unfit to compete following a match at Heatwave 2026. During her NXT Women’s Championship defense against Kelani Jordan, Grey struck an exposed turnbuckle, resulting in vertigo and a disruption to her vestibular system. While doctors ruled out a concussion, Grey remains sidelined indefinitely.

Following Grey’s injury and title loss, Kelani Jordan has been recognized as the new NXT Women’s Champion. Jordan has accepted a challenge from Jaida Parker to defend the title in an upcoming match.
