Kendal Regency promotes food security through agriculture

Kendal Regency is intensifying efforts to strengthen food security and local economies through agricultural initiatives. As part of the 2026 Karang Taruna Service Month, 150 breadfruit seedlings were planted in Tejorejo Village, Dukuh Sono. Regent Dyah Kartika Permanasari aims to establish Tejorejo as a central hub for breadfruit production to boost community income and environmental conservation.

Simultaneously, the Kendal Agriculture and Food Office hosted the 2026 Kendal Agricultural Products Exhibition, featuring 34 stalls. The event showcased various livestock and agricultural products, farming tools, and animal vaccination services. The exhibition serves as a platform to appreciate farmers' contributions to national food security and to promote local agricultural potential and modern technology adoption.
