Kendall Coyne Schofield re-signs with Minnesota Frost

The Minnesota Frost have re-signed captain Kendall Coyne Schofield to a two-year Standard Player Agreement with the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), keeping her with the team through the 2027-28 season.

Coyne Schofield, a four-time Olympian and seven-time IIHF World Champion, finished the 2025-26 campaign with 23 points in 23 games, making her one of only three players in the league to average a point per game last season. She holds the PWHL career record for the best plus-minus at +46 and led all skaters last season with a +22 rating.

Her return ensures the Frost retain their leadership core, including alternate captains Lee Stecklein and Kelly Pannek. The signing comes after the team lost several players, such as Britta Curl-Salemme and Mae Batherson, during the league's expansion process.
