Kendrick Nunn sidelined by meniscus injury at Panathinaikos

Panathinaikos guard Kendrick Nunn has suffered a meniscus injury in his right knee, which will sideline him for the start of the upcoming season. The injury occurred during individual training sessions in the United States.

Nunn underwent a successful arthroscopic partial meniscectomy on Wednesday, August 19. Medical estimates suggest a recovery period of approximately six to eight weeks, though some reports indicate it could take up to two months. This timeline means Nunn will miss the team's preseason preparations and the initial games of the EuroLeague season, including potential matchups against Paris Basketball, ASVEL Villeurbanne, and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Additionally, Nunn will serve a two-game suspension in Greek domestic competitions—originally stemming from an incident in last season's finals—while he undergoes rehabilitation. Head coach Zeljko Obradovic will need to adjust the rotation, utilizing players such as Kostas Sloukas, Jerian Grant, and Sylvain Francisco to cover the void left by the star guard.
