Kenia López Rabadán delivers legislative report as Chamber President
Kenia López Rabadán has delivered her legislative report marking the conclusion of her term as President of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies in Mexico. During her address at the Palacio Legislativo de San Lázaro, she emphasized that her management was guided by the principles of truth, respect for state institutions, gender parity, and political plurality.
López Rabadán highlighted her efforts to maintain the Chamber as an institutional space for debate despite high political polarization. She noted that her administration oversaw 100 sessions, more than 3,600 interventions, and the approval of 150 parliamentary reports. She specifically mentioned the importance of ensuring that the Chamber remains a place where diverse political voices are heard without censorship.
Her report was attended by various political figures, including representatives from the Executive and Judicial branches, as well as parliamentary coordinators. While members of the PAN praised her leadership and commitment to democratic values, Morena coordinator Ricardo Monreal also recognized her work in keeping legislative debates within institutional channels.
