Kenia Os leads a rising Latin pop movement

Singer Kenia Os is playing a central role in a Latin pop renaissance, helping to elevate the genre to a global level despite the current dominance of regional Mexican music and corridos tumbados in Mexico.

Os, who transitioned from a beauty YouTuber in 2015 to a music artist, released her latest album, ‘K de Karma’, in March. The record explores themes of heartbreak, romance, and feminine empowerment through tracks such as ‘Días Tristes’, ‘Tú y Yo X Siempre’, and ‘Rojo Versace’.

The album's release coincided with a nearly two-year relationship with musician Peso Pluma. The couple announced their split in June 2026 while Os was on tour, issuing a joint statement emphasizing mutual respect.
