Kennedy Center removes Donald Trump’s name from official documents
The Kennedy Center in Washington has been ordered by a federal judge to eliminate former President Donald Trump’s name from all official materials. Staff were instructed to delete the name from email signatures, letterheads, voicemail messages and, by June 12, from the Center’s website, brochures and interior and exterior signage.
The ruling follows a previous court decision that required the removal of Trump’s name from the building’s facade. The Center also cannot close for a two‑year renovation that Trump had planned for the summer. Trump expressed strong anger over the judgment. The Center, originally named after President John F. Kennedy, was renamed the “Trump Kennedy Center” in December, prompting protests and artist boycotts.
