Kenner Indiana Jones toys reach collector interest at auction

Vintage Kenner Indiana Jones toys, which saw limited success at their initial launch, have become valuable items for collectors. A lot consisting of six identical Map Room Adventure Sets from the Raiders of the Lost Ark line is currently being offered at Heritage Auctions for $1,250.

The Map Room Adventure Set features Indiana Jones in a desert disguise using the Staff of Ra. While individual sets have been seen on eBay for between $300 and $800, the auction lot includes the original factory box. The price for the six-set bundle is considered competitive for collectors, though the items are not graded and the original box typically contained 12 sets.
