Kennesaw State shuts out West Georgia 47-0 in season opener

Kennesaw State secured a 47-0 victory over West Georgia in their season opener on Thursday night. The win marked the Owls' first shutout since October 2021.

Rickie Collins contributed to three touchdowns, including a rushing score and a 9-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Gary. Latrelle Murrell recorded two rushing touchdowns, including a 45-yard run in the first quarter. Other scoring plays included a 60-yard touchdown run by Triston Morgan and a 1-yard run by Boogie Woods III. Kennesaw State held a 40-0 lead by halftime.
