Kenneth Rumble faces sentencing for child sexual abuse

Kenneth Rumble, an 80-year-old retired accountant from Narromine, appeared at the Dubbo District Court for sentencing following his conviction for the sexual abuse of three girls under the age of 12.

During the sentencing hearing, a victim from the same church community described the lifelong trauma and shame caused by the assaults. The court heard that the abuse occurred when the victim was a child and Rumble was in his 70s. The incidents included inappropriate touching and other sexual misconduct.

Despite Rumble denying the allegations, a jury found him guilty of two counts of intentionally sexually touching a child and one count of inciting a child to sexually touch.
