Kenshi Yonezu’s ‘STRAY SHEEP’ reaches historic 3 million Oricon points

Kenshi Yonezu’s fifth studio album, ‘STRAY SHEEP’, has become the first album in Oricon history to surpass 3 million cumulative points. This milestone was announced in the latest Oricon Weekly Combined Album Rankings as of September 21, 2026.

Originally released in August 2020, the album features 15 tracks, including the hit single ‘Lemon’, which has surpassed 900 million views on YouTube, as well as ‘Uma to Shika’ and ‘Kanden’. The album has maintained a continuous presence in the Oricon Top 100 for 319 consecutive weeks, spanning over six years.

Since its release, ‘STRAY SHEEP’ has set numerous records, including being the first solo artist work to achieve 1 million points in a single week and the first to reach 2 million cumulative points. In 2020, the album earned 46 titles in the annual rankings.
