Kensuke Kondo chases Pacific League batting title in season finale

Kensuke Kondo of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks is attempting to secure the Pacific League batting title in the final game of the regular season against the Rakuten Eagles on October 5.

Currently, Kondo holds a batting average of .310, trailing the league leader, Reyes of the Nippon-Ham Fighters, who sits at .313.
