Kent hosts community event on fentanyl and addiction solutions
Twelve local mayors and various government officials are gathering in Kent, Washington, for a community event focused on fentanyl, addiction, accountability, and potential solutions. Hosted by the Kent-based nonprofit Battlefield Addiction, the event, titled ‘Hey Bob! We Need Your Help,’ is scheduled for October 8 at the Kent-Meridian High School Performing Arts Center.
The program includes an open panel discussion led by Battlefield Addiction founder Art Dahlen. Participating leaders include the mayors of Kent, Issaquah, Normandy Park, Renton, North Bend, Enumclaw, Black Diamond, SeaTac, Tukwila, Bonney Lake, Sumner, and Pacific.
In addition to local mayors, the event will feature representatives from the Office of Governor Bob Ferguson, as well as state representatives Chris Corry, Travis Couture, and Jim Walsh. The initiative aims to bring families, community leaders, and elected officials together to address the impact of fentanyl within their communities.
