Kent State and Ball State to open MAC play at Dix Stadium

Kent State and Ball State are set to begin Mid-American Conference (MAC) play this Saturday at Dix Stadium in Kent, Ohio. Both teams enter the matchup with identical 1-2 records following challenging nonconference schedules.

Ball State has won six of the last seven meetings against Kent State, including a 17-13 victory last year. The Cardinals aim to improve their performance regarding penalties following a recent loss to Liberty University.

Kent State seeks to snap a four-game losing streak against the Cardinals and end a conference-opening drought dating back to 2022. Key players for the Golden Flashes include quarterback Dru DeShields, who leads the team in total offense, and receiver Wayne Harris. The Kent State defense will look to exploit a Ball State offensive line that has surrendered eight sacks so far this season.
