Sacramento State secured its first Mid-American Conference (MAC) win with a 31-10 victory over Kent State on Friday night. The win marks a significant milestone for the Hornets, who are in their inaugural season at the Bowl Subdivision level following a move from the Big Sky Conference.

Freshman Isaiah Ene led the Hornets with a career-high 107 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Donovan Turner also contributed a 36-yard interception return for a touchdown. The victory snapped a six-game losing streak for Sacramento State.

Kent State, led by quarterback Dru DeShields, initially took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter following a 92-yard touchdown pass to Wayne Harris. However, the Golden Flashes were unable to maintain the lead, falling to 3-6 on the season.
