Kenta Kobashi launches new professional wrestling project FortuneX

Professional wrestling legend Kenta Kobashi has launched a new project titled ‘FortuneX ~Road to the Champion~’. The initiative aims to revitalize the wrestling industry by focusing on young talent.

The tournament is scheduled to take place on October 28, 2026, in Shinkiba. Fourteen wrestlers will compete for a chance to participate in the ‘FortuneDream12’ event held the following year. A unique feature of the competition is that the tournament MVP will be determined by a public vote from all attendees following the matches.

The project’s name draws inspiration from Kobashi’s career and mentors, with ‘Fortune’ representing the future of wrestling and ‘X’ referencing the entrance theme of his late mentor, Mitsuharu Misawa. The program will be broadcast on CS Nittele Gtasu on November 11 at 9:00 PM.
