Kentaro Sakaguchi film ‘I Do Not Know You’ releases new footage

New scene footage and event details have been released for the upcoming film ‘I Do Not Know You’ (Watashi wa Anata o Shiranai,), starring Kentaro Sakaguchi and directed by Ryota Nakano. The film, a Japan-France co-production, is scheduled for release on August 28, 2026.

The released footage depicts an emotional scene at an amusement park between the protagonist, Yuhei, and a young girl named Asako. Director Nakano noted that the scene was inspired by his own complex emotions experienced after becoming a father, aiming to portray the nuanced feelings of love and parental instinct.

In addition to the footage release, a teach-in event featuring Director Nakano is scheduled for August 29 and 30 at locations including Uplink Kichijoji and Ebisu Garden Cinema, providing fans an opportunity to hear about the production and ask questions.
