Kentaro Sakaguchi to star in Asian thriller drama ‘Kidnap Game’

The upcoming thriller series ‘Kidnap Game’ is set to premiere on October 6 on Channel A. The production is a collaborative effort involving teams from South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong.

The narrative follows a coordinated wave of kidnappings occurring simultaneously across seven Asian cities: Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, and Naha. The plot centers on seven individuals forced into a deadly survival game where they must complete specific missions to save their loved ones. Under the rules of the ordeal, only one participant is intended to survive.

Kentaro Sakaguchi stars as Toshiro Niide, a dedicated Tokyo detective who becomes personally embroiled in the conspiracy after his wife is abducted. Despite the brutal parameters of the game, Niide aims to save every participant while hunting the masterminds behind the incident. The series also features actor Lee Joon-gi.
