Kentucky basketball hosts annual Big Blue Madness showcase

Kentucky basketball held its annual Big Blue Madness showcase at Rupp Arena, providing fans with a first look at the men’s and women’s teams for the 2026-27 season. The event featured various competitions, including a dunk contest won by Justin McBride and a three-point contest won by Alex Wilkins, who scored 31 points in the opening round and 21 in the finals.

A major highlight of the evening was the appearance of former Wildcat and 2026 NBA champion Karl-Anthony Towns. Following the event, the BBN United Fan Fest was scheduled for October 3 at the Central Bank Center, offering interactive exhibits and opportunities for fans to meet players and coaches.

Analytics from EvanMiya.com suggested a potential starting lineup for head coach Mark Pope consisting of Zoom Diallo, Kam Williams, Milan Momcilovic, Ousmane N'Diaye, and Malachi Moreno, notably omitting Alex Wilkins from the top five projection.
