Kentucky basketball faces injury setbacks despite Milan Momcilovic's strong debut

Kentucky basketball head coach Mark Pope provided updates on the team's roster health and player performance following an exhibition game against Little Rock.

Forward Trent Noah is currently sidelined after re-aggravating a hamstring injury earlier this summer. Pope noted that Noah is “struggling a little bit right now to regain his health.” The team is also awaiting the return of Kam Williams, who is recovering from a second surgery on a broken foot. Other injury concerns include guard Jerone Morton, who is undergoing re-evaluation for a knee injury.

On a positive note, forward Milan Momcilovic made an immediate impact in his debut. Pope highlighted Momcilovic’s elite shooting ability and gravity, stating, “He doesn't take bad shots because every shot he takes is impossible. He just makes impossible shots.” Momcilovic's performance is seen as vital to the Wildcats' offensive strategy as the regular season approaches.
