Kentucky Farm Bureau promotes certified markets for fall harvest

The Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) is highlighting its Certified Farm Market Program as the fall harvest season begins. The program, now in its 31st year, aims to connect families with local agriculture through markets offering seasonal items such as pumpkins and corn mazes.

KFB President Eddie Melton stated that the certification serves as a trusted indicator for consumers that products were grown with care within Kentucky. The program is designed to increase net farm income for member markets by providing collective advertising, promotional items, and educational tour opportunities.

Certified markets can be located via an online directory, the KFB mobile app, or through physical rack cards available at Kentucky welcome centers, state resort parks, and local chambers of commerce.
