Kentucky football prepares for road matchup against South Carolina

No. 24 Kentucky football prepares to face South Carolina this weekend in Columbia. Kentucky enters the matchup with a 3-1 overall record and 1-1 in SEC play, following a 45-21 victory over South Alabama. The Wildcats are looking to snap a four-game losing streak against the Gamecocks and build on a recent road win against Texas A&M.

South Carolina, currently 2-2 and 0-2 in the SEC, is facing increased pressure under head coach Shane Beamer following a seven-game SEC losing streak. The Gamecocks will be playing without star EDGE Dylan Stewart, who has been suspended indefinitely.

Kentucky head coach Will Stein, the first first-year coach to lead a ranked Kentucky team since 1954, emphasized that the team uses rigorous practice environments, including simulated crowd noise, to prepare for difficult road atmospheres like Williams-Brice Stadium.
