Kentucky football prepares for season opener with Minchey and Greene

Kentucky football is preparing for its season opener against Youngstown State. Head coach Will Stein expressed confidence in new quarterback Kenny Minchey, a transfer from Notre Dame, noting Minchey's competitive attitude and his quick mastery of the offensive system during spring and summer practices.

Stein advised Minchey to trust his preparation and avoid the fear of failure during his first career college start. Additionally, the team received a boost on the defensive side with the return of EDGE Sam Greene, who is expected to be fully available following a season-ending ACL injury last November.
