Kentucky football defeats Oklahoma 21-13 on the road
The No. 15 Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 21-13 in Norman, moving to a 6-1 record on the season. Kentucky’s victory was driven by a dominant second-half defensive performance that forced three turnovers. Key defensive plays included an interception and a 41-yard pick-six by Jordan Castell, as well as disruptive pressure from Mi’Quise Humphrey-Grace.
On the offensive side, Kentucky running back Jason Patterson contributed 38 yards on 12 carries. Quarterback CJ Baxter was held out of the game due to injury, though head coach Will Stein indicated Baxter is expected to return for the upcoming game against Vanderbilt.
Oklahoma, now 3-3, struggled significantly due to an injury-depleted offensive line. At least five linemen were sidelined or injured during the contest, including Michael Fasusi, Heath Ozaeta, and Eddy Pierre-Louis. The Sooners' offensive line issues were highlighted by their national ranking of 121st in sacks allowed. Despite the loss, Oklahoma hosted several high-profile recruits during the game, including 5-star tight end Seneca Driver.
