Kentucky launches talent recruitment grant program
The Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development is now accepting applications for the Kentucky Talent Recruitment Grant Program. The initiative provides funding to support workforce relocation, retention, and marketing efforts across the state.
Eligible applicants, including city or county governing bodies, economic development organizations, and certain nonprofits, can seek up to $500,000 to design and execute programs aimed at attracting new residents and retaining Kentucky graduates. Governor Andy Beshear stated the program is intended to ensure communities are prepared for future job requirements and to support local talent attraction strategies.
The program encourages collaboration between counties to increase regional impact. Applications must be submitted by November 6, 2026. Following a review process in late 2026, grant award notifications are expected in January 2027.
