Kentucky racetracks partner with First Lady on human trafficking awareness
Kentucky First Lady Britainy Beshear has announced that all nine racetracks in the state are partnering with the First Lady’s Human Trafficking Awareness Coalition. The initiative aims to increase public education regarding the identification and reporting of human trafficking.
As part of this partnership, the racetracks will display awareness posters that identify key indicators of trafficking and provide contact information for the National Human Trafficking Hotline. This move follows similar signage efforts in airports, hotels, and sports arenas. The coalition identified the racetracks as critical partners due to their role in the tourism sector and the millions of visitors they attract annually.
Participating venues include Churchill Downs, Cumberland Run, Ellis Park, Keeneland, Kentucky Downs, The Mint, and Oak Grove.
