Kentucky roadway closures and lane restrictions announced

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced several upcoming roadway closures and traffic restrictions across the state due to maintenance and inspections.

In Harlan County, CSX Transportation will perform railroad crossing maintenance, resulting in temporary closures of several roads. Scheduled closures include KY 2428 from August 10 to August 11, KY 3459 from August 11 to August 13, KY 413 from August 12 to August 14, and KY 3460 from August 13 to August 15. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour routes and expect delays.

Additionally, in Henderson, the U.S. 41 Twin Bridges will undergo annual inspections starting August 10. Commuters should expect single-lane closures daily between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through August 20. Restrictions will initially affect the northbound bridge.
