Kentucky volleyball sweeps No. 6 Wisconsin in season opener
The No. 3 Kentucky volleyball team secured a straight-sets victory over No. 6 Wisconsin in their season opener held in Milwaukee. The Wildcats swept the Badgers with set scores of 25-20, 26-24, and 25-18.
Kentucky demonstrated a balanced performance, recording 43 kills and 44 digs. Brooklyn Deleye led the Wildcats with 12 kills, while the team also outmatched Wisconsin at the net with 10 blocks to 5.
Despite the loss, Wisconsin saw strong individual efforts from junior Jaela Auguste, who led the team with a .429 hitting percentage, and freshman Audrey Flanagan, who recorded nine kills. However, Kentucky's defense limited Wisconsin to a .186 hitting percentage. The Wildcats will next face No. 4 Penn State.
