Kenvue to exit S&P 500 following Kimberly-Clark acquisition

Kenvue is set to exit the S&P 500 index as its acquisition by Kimberly-Clark approaches completion. Following the announcement by S&P Dow Jones Indices, Okta will move from the MidCap 400 into the S&P 500, while Glaukos will ascend to the MidCap 400 and McGrath RentCorp will join the SmallCap 600.

To finance the $48.7 billion deal, Kimberly-Clark has completed a $4.9 billion bond placement across five tranches with maturities ranging from 2028 to 2036. The transaction, which involves both cash and stock, is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

In its third-quarter financial report, Kenvue reported a 3.2 percent revenue increase to $3.886 billion, with organic revenue growing 2.9 percent. Net profit rose to $430 million, up from $398 million in the previous year. While the Self Care segment saw 5.4 percent organic growth, the Skin Health and Beauty segment experienced a 0.5 percent organic decline due to distribution and promotion challenges in the US and Europe.
