Kenya Airways offers Asante Rewards status match for SkyTeam perks

Kenya Airways is offering a status match promotion through its Asante Rewards loyalty program, allowing frequent flyers and hotel guests to upgrade their status within the SkyTeam alliance. Partnering with statusmatch.com, the airline provides a pathway to Asante Rewards Silver (SkyTeam Elite) or Gold and Platinum (SkyTeam Elite Plus) levels.

The promotion involves various fee structures based on the origin of the status being matched. For example, matching from airline status can cost between US$80 and US$175, while matching from hotel status or certain credit cards can range from US$99 to US$299. Approved status is valid for 12 months and provides alliance-wide benefits, including extra baggage allowances and lounge access for Elite Plus members.

While the program allows matching from various hotel and airline loyalty programs, the airline’s terms and conditions state that ‘chain matched’ or unearned status may be declined. For US-based travelers, matching to SkyTeam Elite Plus status is available for a fee of US$299.
