Kenya Airways tyre failure disrupts Cape Town International Airport runway

A tyre burst on Kenya Airways flight KQ784, a Boeing 737‑800, occurred while landing at Cape Town International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, 4 August 2026. The aircraft was disabled on the main runway, forcing a temporary closure that lasted several hours.
